Event Listing Terms

Last Updated: September 11, 2026

These Event Listing Terms apply to any event submitted for publication on the PaddOH website.

By submitting an event, you agree to the following terms.

1. Event listings

PaddOH allows local businesses, community groups, organisations and individuals to submit eligible events for publication free of charge.

All submissions are reviewed before publication. PaddOH may approve, edit, decline or remove an event listing at its discretion, including where an event is considered:

  • inaccurate, misleading or incomplete;
  • inappropriate or unlawful;
  • outside the geographic area or community served by PaddOH;
  • primarily spam, advertising or unrelated promotional content; or
  • otherwise unsuitable for the PaddOH website.

Submission of an event does not guarantee publication.

2. Accuracy of information

The person submitting an event is responsible for ensuring that all information supplied is accurate, current and complete.

This includes event dates, times, locations, prices, ticket information, contact details, images, descriptions and booking links.

If event details change after publication, the organiser should update the listing or notify PaddOH as soon as reasonably possible.

3. Responsibility for the event

PaddOH provides an event listing platform only.

The event organiser remains solely responsible for:

  • organising and delivering the event;
  • venue arrangements;
  • attendee communication;
  • health and safety;
  • licences, permits, insurance and regulatory requirements;
  • ticketing and bookings;
  • cancellations and postponements;
  • refunds; and
  • resolving disputes with attendees.

Publication of an event on PaddOH does not mean that PaddOH organises, operates, sponsors, endorses or guarantees the event unless specifically stated.

4. External booking and payment services

Where possible, event organisers are encouraged to use their own booking or payment service and provide a direct booking URL within their PaddOH event listing.

Where an external booking service is used, all bookings, payments, refunds and disputes are between the event organiser, attendee and the relevant payment or booking provider.

PaddOH is not responsible for transactions processed through external services.

5. Tickets sold through PaddOH

Where an event organiser chooses to use PaddOH’s ticketing functionality for paid tickets, payments will be processed through PaddOH’s nominated payment account.

The event organiser acknowledges that ticket payments will initially be received by PaddOH on the organiser’s behalf.

After ticket sales for the event have closed, PaddOH will calculate the amount payable to the organiser.

The amount transferred will be the total ticket payments actually received, less:

  • payment processing fees charged by PayPal or another payment provider;
  • refunds, reversals, disputes or chargebacks relating to the event; and
  • the PaddOH administration fee applicable at the time the event is submitted.

The current administration fee will be displayed on the event submission page.

6. Payment to event organisers

The remaining ticket proceeds will normally be transferred to the organiser’s nominated Australian bank account within 7 days after ticket sales have closed.

The organiser is responsible for providing accurate bank account details.

PaddOH is not responsible for delays or losses caused by incorrect payment information supplied by the organiser.

Where a payment dispute, chargeback or other issue remains unresolved, PaddOH may delay payment of the affected amount until the matter has been resolved.

7. Refunds and cancelled events

The event organiser is responsible for determining and communicating their cancellation and refund policy.

If an event is cancelled, postponed or substantially changed, the organiser must notify attendees and PaddOH as soon as reasonably possible.

Where payments have been processed through PaddOH, any refunds may be deducted from funds otherwise payable to the organiser.

If PaddOH has already transferred ticket proceeds to the organiser and subsequently incurs a refund, reversal or chargeback relating to the event, the organiser agrees to reimburse PaddOH for that amount.

8. Fees charged by payment providers

Payment providers such as PayPal may deduct transaction, processing, refund, dispute or other fees.

These fees are outside PaddOH’s control and may change from time to time.

The event organiser agrees that any such fees relating to their event may be deducted from ticket proceeds before funds are transferred.

9. Taxes and financial obligations

Event organisers are responsible for determining and meeting any tax, GST, reporting or other financial obligations arising from their ticket sales or event activities.

PaddOH does not provide taxation, accounting or financial advice to event organisers.

10. Images and content

By submitting text, photographs, logos, graphics or other content, the organiser confirms that they have the right to use and publish that material.

The organiser gives PaddOH permission to display that content on the PaddOH website and, where appropriate, use it to promote the event through PaddOH’s communication and social media channels.

11. Prohibited events and content

Event listings must not promote illegal activities, misleading offers, discriminatory or abusive material, fraudulent activity, or content that infringes another person’s intellectual property or other rights.

PaddOH may remove any listing where concerns arise about its legitimacy, safety, accuracy or suitability.

12. Changes and cancellations by organisers

Event organisers are responsible for keeping their listings up to date.

PaddOH is not responsible for losses suffered by attendees or organisers as a result of an event being cancelled, postponed, relocated or changed.

13. Limitation of responsibility

While PaddOH takes reasonable care in operating the event listing service, PaddOH does not guarantee:

  • event attendance;
  • ticket sales;
  • event profitability;
  • the accuracy of information supplied by event organisers;
  • the conduct of organisers or attendees; or
  • the successful operation of third-party payment, booking or technology services.

To the extent permitted by law, PaddOH is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from an event listing or event.

Nothing in these terms excludes any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under Australian law.

14. Changes to these terms

PaddOH may update these Event Listing Terms from time to time.

The terms that apply to an event will generally be those published on the PaddOH website at the time the event is submitted.
